Easy like Sunday Morning

Snorfy is having a relaxing Sunday morning.

At 9 months old, he went to the vet this week for his last kitteny check up and FIV vaccination

Behaved very well and got a clean bill of health. He now weighs 4.5 kilos. Still more growing to do.

Mei Mei arrives to say good morning
I love that boys tail - it's darker and clearly striped - like the original Cheshire Cat

BONUS SHOTS:

"throw the ball, lady!"
Mr. Snorfy Sir Snorfsalot is a big boy now and only drinks big boy drinks - aka water. But tough water: from the shower, from the pond - and from the water bowl - but it's a dirty bowl! tough drinking only!

On the other hand, Mei Mei still enjoys milk. She enjoys it A LOT - all of it, all at the same time, and all over the place. I have experimented and she now gets her milk in a bread and butter plate. Lactose free milk of course.

How does this happen?? Neither of us are happy with this situation (note: under dishwasher ball barrier)

Mei Mei's also visited the vet and was pretty uneventful - she is weighing in at 4.8 kilos. I am hoping that the girly will stop growing soon! We discussed some of her goofier traits (e.g. she's a bit unco-ordinated when running around and far less playful than Snorfs) but she seems pretty happy and healthy, and the walls are surviving the crashings.

At least she helped me in cleaning up

Let the training begin

Remember this post - where I explained how Snorfy scored his name?

I revealed the danger of a steak TV dinner. Behold:

2 months on and progress has been made!

Where are the marauding kittens??
They now supervise proceedings

Never very far away .....

Much better behaviour

Very important steak is involved
This is what happens once the plate is gone.

We is getting bigger - so better had these thighs!
Extra bonus snoozy shot

"I haz a blankey" "I haz a pillow"
Bonus fact - went to Vet - both weigh 3.6 kilos - 3 times their arrival weight. Half the end result!

Snorfy's big adventure!

Snorfy. The babe we called "Snorfy"

and he grew ...... grew, grew and grew .....

.... grew up to be,

.... yes he grew up to be .....

...a boy called Snorfy....a boy called Snorfy.

He has ears, and legs and paws and feet, this boy .... whose name is Snorfy.

and he grew .....

... grew, grew and grew .... grew up to be ...

yes, he grew up to be.....

..... a teenager called Snorfy. A teenager called Snorfy.

and his face became grotty. Yes, his face became grotty.

and his sniff dropped down low

and things started to grow

on young Snorfy, and so .....

..... he was "done" and now's known .....

... as not a boy named Snorfy. Not a boy named Snorfy

This cat called Snorfy!!

(He'll sleep it off)

Introducing Henry a.k.a Snorfy

The Ken Man has been travelling for several weeks and we have not had the chance to discuss names properly. He came home on the weekend and immediately found his breakfast bowl under attack. The name "Snorfy" seems so appropriate.

This chap seems to be willing to try anything

Mr Snorfles has a go at chili with cabbage
He has grown 50% in weight since arriving. Was 1.2 Kg - Now 1.8Kg

Snorfmeister comes after my french toast - so does little girlie for that matter
He is the labrador of the cat world. Anything on the floor gets taken. Tough luck for bugs.

Sir Snorfsalot has a penchant for chocolate cake
Snorflicious went for The Ken Man's homemade choc chip cookies
Everything chocolate has to be rescued from the snorfleburgler
The worst moment came yesterday - I decided to have steak for dinner. Worst. Decision. Ever.

It was two against one in the battle for my dinner.

Uncontrollable little marauders. Tonight's dinner was eaten on the kitchen benchtop - standing up - where they cannot jump.

As I write this, I hear him licking his bowl clean. Snorfy is a really appropriate name for this little man.

OMG!! I am NOT eating!

I'll still call him Henry when The Ken Man is not around.

Meet Mr Lilac!

Meet Mr Lilac

Look at the little legs

Still working on kitteh names for the kittehs - something that suits. This bloke is confident, snuggly and friendly!

He's also tiny!
and hungry! Look at the belly on him!
Only been here for 24 hours and I am calling him Sir Snorfsalot. This bloke packs it away!

I'm a tiger!
He's not even as long as a 1 foot floor tile

Whiskers!
I'll just wait politely here whilst you work out my name.
My gorgeous little man

Just an idea of kittens

Here's the whole litter of little fluff-balls. They are so gorgeous - but they are all way over in Adelaide.

Where's mum going?
They have been bred and are living in the bathroom at Sharad Cattery, Adelaide. Go and check them out! You'll be impressed with their amazing colours and the cutest kittens

I still feel very detached - blogging about cats that are just photos to me.

Oh - It's dinner time!
In this photo, I can't tell which ones will be mine but eat up chaps! You have to get to a kilo in weight to be desexed and I can't have you until you've had the ol' snip snip.

BrDbGdCh Sharad Messiah
Look at this georgeous fellow. Does he not look like the original Cheshire Cat?

So the wonderful Sharad Cattery are raising 2 little kittehs for me in their bathroom. One day they'll be here and it will suddenly all be very real.

(more 7 week photos)

This post was submitted to the Carnival of the Cats. Go to the carnival and check out other kittehs!

Five weeks old!

Here they are at 5 weeks old.

You can see their ears are way bigger.

Their noses and muzzlepouches are more elongated. I think their eyes are less blue - more grey.

The little family has started eating solid food
